My laboratory has worked on neural information processing and brain-machine interactions. We understand the neural codes at the circuitry level and develop methods and tools for analyzing neural signals. Abnormality with the neural circuit can lead to neuropsychiatric diseases. We take advantage of novel methods and materials to facilitate the interactions between the external device and the brain. We have developed self-powered neuromodulation and developed multifunctional devices to detect physiological signals and perform neural stimulation.
